Camp Bird Activities

From canoeing, arts and crafts and archery to a low ropes course and silly songs and skits— these are just a few of the many exciting activities at Camp Bird. Campers participate with their cabin in a number of scheduled activity periods but they also have ample free time during the day in which to choose what they wish to do.

Morning activities include group Bible study and an exciting music class followed by snack and free time. Throughout the afternoon campers take part in a number of cabin activities. These may vary from week to week or year to year but may include swimming, archery, arts and crafts, a nature hike, nature study, the low ropes course, kickball or volleyball. An afternoon snack follows as well as more free time in which campers can re-visit many of these areas or just relax in the cabin. The evening activity is considered by some to be the highlight of the day. These are often all-camp games and may be a Scavenger Hunt, Carnival, or cooperative cabin games. An evening snack and campfire with lots of songs, skits and charades round out a very exhausting, yet exciting, day!

Many camps offer these same activities but we believe one thing that makes our camp special is that we provide a Christ-centered atmosphere with Christian role models in the form of staff and counselors. Campers can feel free to participate in activities or even try something new in this positive and supportive environment.
